Organisational Background

Uncle Guthrey Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) registered in Ghana under the Companies Act, 1963, Act 179 (Registered Certificates for operations Attached)

We are an operational NGO, meaning we plan and carry out boots-on-the-ground projects to accomplish our objectives. This requires a great deal of careful planning, communication, and local involvement for each project.
Our goal as an organization is to accomplish the following:

1. We aim to help the poor, especially children, to have the various necessity of life so as to live comfortably.
2. We are also focused on helping communities with poor facilities to enjoy good living in Ghana and beyond.
3. To transform/develop children with good talent to achieve their aim in future

We hope to further our progress to reaching these goals through the project outlined in this proposal.

Problem Statement

In this village under discussion, Fasin in the Ahanta West in the Western Region of Ghana, there is a Health Centre (Clinic) there but lacks a lot of necessities. It therefore gives much worry to both the nurses and the patients.

There is only one patient-bed to serve several patients at the same time at the clinic which is very unpleasant. Most times pregnant women have to sit in chairs for delivery.

There is also no proper water source for the clinic and the community as a whole so they depend on the other community.

Project Goals

Completion of this project will further our overarching objectives, including:

Helping the Fasin community with poor facilities

The project will also accomplish additional goals including:

• Boosting the activeness of the nurses to work to perfection
• Assisting patients to feel comfortable when they go for medical treatment
• Precisely, both the nurses and the patients would be glad to have good drinking water

Project Activities

The Project, FASIN HEALTH CENTRE RENOVATION, will include the following strategies:

• Construction of a modernised Well (water source) for the Clinic
• Presenting new Hospital beds to the clinic
• Painting the both the Clinic building and the Nurses’ quarters (inside/outside)

Project Results

The impact of FASIN HEALTH CENTRE RENOVATION PROJECT will be felt very much by the community since it’s their only hope in terms health assistance.

Both the nurses and the patients are hungry to see changes at the Clinic and the community as a whole. This project will therefore, give hope to anyone who will visit the hospital.

Project Completion

This project is a great necessity which needs to be attended to with immediate effect. Health and other necessity issues are to be handled with no procrastination.

Uncle Guthrey Foundation therefore, wishes to start and complete this project as soon as possible as November and December respectively, this year 2018.

Budget

FASIN HEALTH CENTRE RENOVATION PROJECT requires the support of your generous benefactors in order to move forward. The table below outlines the costs associated with the project.

Conclusion
